About Us

The Central West Gippsland Division of General Practice Inc is an incorporated association of General Practitioners working to improve health care in our community.  We are one of 120 divisions established to assist and represent GPs throughout Australia and are governed by a Board of Directors comprising local GPs.

The Division provides support and services for and on behalf of General Practitioners. We aim to assist GPs to deliver quality care and improved health outcomes for the local community.  We maintain a focus on the health and well being of GPs as well as providing opportunities to improve their professional skills and knowledge. Partnerships continue to be established and strengthened with surrounding divisions, primary care, acute care and other health service providers.

Our region encompasses Drouin, Warragul, Neerim South, Trafalgar, Moe, Newborough, Morwell, Churchill and Traralgon representing over 100 GP and GP Registrar members, and a community of more than 100,000 people.   Membership of our Division is extended to all GPs and GP Registrars who practice in this area.  Other GPs may become associate members.

The Central West Gippsland Division of General Practice has been very successful in establishing major health programs that not only address the national health priorities, but also work towards the specific needs of our local community.
