The Division has developed a document ‘Planning for Reponse to Emergencies’ to determine the role of Central West Gippsland Division of General Practice (the Division) and local General Practitioners (GPs) in a primary health emergency response, and what is required of the Division and the regional office to plan for that response. All divisions of general practice are encouraged to participate in local planning with the Departments of Health and Human Services (DH/DHS) about primary health responses to emergencies.
